Reply with quote | #1 | I was just wandering around the big wide intertube today, when I came across this one: Oglaf.
Now is it just my imagining, or do these characters appear... familiar?

My thought exactly. I've been directed to this comics today, and was coming to the forum to post about it.
You'll notice the author's name does not appear anywhere, not even a pseudonym...
It's either someone heavily influenced by Trudy's artwork or... Trudy herself ? |

Reply with quote | #6 | Seems less polished than Trudy, then again it could be a sign of less attention taken to the art. Hell, anything is possible, isn't it.
I suppose it really just doesn't have the class that I would unreasonably expect from Trudy. I don't even know you and I make judgments!

Reply with quote | #9 | I've been visiting that site for months now and every time I've noted the Grit-like art. The "mistress" in particular looked awfully familiar. If the artist really is Trudy, that's fantastic. I love how she draws dongs =P |

Reply with quote | #10 | I frakkin' knew it! My e-sleuthing didn't detect the funkmoppet tell, but I saw the Australia bit. Also "Elizabeth Tonks."
The funny thing is, none of my friends saw the similarity in the style. I feel so vindicated. |

Isn't it though?

All anyone had to do was ask. Oddly, no one did. __________________ Trudy Cooper |

Reply with quote | #13 | Actually, I also asked by email, and you kindly replied later. I didn't think you would, because I was thinking that if the mysterious author wasn't willing to put her name on the site, there were seldom chances that she'll just give her identity when asked.
But obviously, I was wrong. The world works in much more subtle ways Than I thought.
And really, I wasn't expecting to find anything, I was the first surprised to find a proof. (I checked your LJ comment to see if anybody had told you about the site, and since nobody had, I was going to do that, when I saw the email address in the last comment.)
That being said, I really like those comics, especially "eight legs of love" and "fountain of doubt". |

Clearly it's a cafe the protagonist works at that will be seen once and then never mentioned again |
